What is your favourite memory of your grandparents?

Hi ,

Last weekend I was thinking about my grandma who recently passed away. She was the backbone of our family. She brought us the wisdom of the world and all she needed in return was our love and care. Once she was gone, I realized how much I could have done for her when she was around.

Inspired by her memory, I was reading about the state of the elderly in India and realized something shocking.

Did you know that there are over 100 million senior citizens in the country and over one third live alone, abandoned by their own kin. They lack food, clothing, shelter, and a support system. Even two meals a day is a luxury to most of them.

Isn’t that unfair? Is this how we should treat our elders?

But we can change this.

We can pledge to help a grandparent, by providing them with nutritious food and proper clothing every month, and help them live with dignity.

There can be no better use for our money than to give hope to someone in their last days. Let’s make a grandparent’s twilight shine bright with our help.

I want to help senior citizens live with dignity

Thanks for your support as always.
